Planning Your SBIR Phase II Application?
If you’re tracking these deadlines because you’re preparing for Phase II, there’s something important to know: Phase II awards require significantly more complex accounting infrastructure than Phase I.
If you’re tracking these deadlines because you’re preparing for Phase II, now is the time to make sure your accounting is ready.
Phase II awards are typically larger and more complex than Phase I awards. That means your accounting system needs to do more than track expenses. It should be able to separate direct and indirect costs, track labor, support invoicing, document allowable costs, and keep your records organized for agency review.
For many small businesses, this is where SBIR accounting
starts to feel overwhelming. A system that worked during Phase I may not be enough for Phase II, especially if your award requires a pre-award accounting review
or more detailed compliance reporting.
That’s where Team 80 can help.
You focus on the innovation. We’ll help take the accounting burden off your shoulders.
With over 25 years of experience supporting government contractors and SBIR awardees, Team 80 provides cloud-based back-office accounting solutions built for small businesses. Our team helps you prepare for pre-award accounting reviews, organize your financial systems, and stay compliant throughout your Phase II award, without needing to hire an internal accounting department.
So you’ve made it this far in your SBIR journey—why not let us take over the accounting complexity so you can focus on what matters most?
